Claude Vicknair

Claude Vicknair passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the age of 82, at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 62 years, Mary Arnone Vicknair. He was the loving father of Claude M. Vicknair, Thomas A. Vicknair (Jane), Catherine V. Lambert (Joey), Peggy V. Broom (Richard) and Deborah V. Burch (Rick). Son of the late Maxie Joseph Vicknair and Leona Livaudais Vicknair. Brother of Inez V. Emmons and the late Leona V. Roth and Joseph Maxie Vicknair. Step brother of Virgie Liccardi Alphonso. He is survived by 7 grandchildren; Sean, Stephanie (Giles), Joseph, Matthew, Thomas (Marissa), Jonathan and Jennifer. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II on the USS Springfield.

He is the founder of Vicknair & Sons Roofing and Vicknair Roofing Materials. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Relatives, friends, are invited to attend Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM.
