Carol Ann Cook

Carol Ann Cook, age 58, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Loving daughter of the late Herbert M. Cook, Sr. and Joyce Barilleau Cook. Sister of Debbie Hamilton (Bobby), Mary Ann Hefler (Rodney), Timmy Cook, Tommy Cook (Denise) and Cindy Batiste (Donald “Bat”) and the late Herbert M. Cook, Jr. Preceded in death by her grandparents Edward Cook, Laura Gantener Cook, George Barilleau, Sr., Anna Cook Barilleau and Elsie Matthis Barilleau. Survived by 14 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A lifelong resident of the Irish Channel. Carol was a graduate of St. Michael Special School. She attended the Strive Center and the ARC in Metairie. She participated in the Special Olympics and loved to bowl. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Saturday afternoon, April 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
