Carl G. Sanderson Jr.

Carl G. Sanderson, Jr., age 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2014. Mr. Sanderson was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Lucas Sanderson. Father of Steven Sanderson (wife, Ellen), Helen Christiana (husband, Joseph), Judith Luce (husband, Enzo) and Kathleen Sanderson. Grandfather of Tanya and Mike, Stephen, Eric and Julie, Natalie and Joe, Brandon and Kasie. Step grandfather of Eric Luce and Kerri Lorenz (husband, Mark). Brother of the late Jeanne Watkins. Son of the late Ethel Wagner Sanderson. Companion of Diana Murrell. Also survived by 15 great grandchildren and by nieces and nephews. Mr. Sanderson was a retired U.S. Navy veteran, was co-owner of Parson and Sanderson Pumps and was a member of Elk Lodge No. 30. One of Mr. Sanderson’s favorite past times was dining at Impastato’s Restaurant and was great friends with the owner, Joe Impastato. He enjoyed Sundays at Papa Joe’s Country Club with family and friends. Mr. Sanderson was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, December 20, 2014 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
