Bruce M. Bourgeois, Sr., age 66, of Destrehan, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was born September 20, 1956, in Jefferson, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorna O. Bourgeois, and his three sons, Bruce Jr., Bradley, Brandon, and his grandson, Trezure. His survivors include his brother Glen J. Bourgeois.
He was the son of the late Dr. Ovide and Vera Bourgeois and is preceded in death by his sisters, Trudy, Sharon, and his brother Barry.
Bruce was the definition of entrepreneurship. He was a distinguished businessman, respected by many, and loved by all.
Bruce was a true Patriot who loved his country. He lived life to the fullest. His passions included his family, his businesses, motorcycles, boats, and pretty much anything with an engine.
A devout catholic, he will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Bruce will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047 with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 2:00 pm, immediately followed by interment at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bruce's honor to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
