Barbara Ann Mahne

A graduate of Maurepas High, Barbara served the children of Jefferson Parish as a teacher’s aide for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Linda, and her eldest son, Robert.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert Mahne, Sr. She also is survived by her sisters, Mary Linda and Fay, her daughter, Rebecca and son-in-law, Lyle Sapera; her son, Kevin, and her daughter-in-law, Monica Mahne; and four grandchildren, Christopher Mahne, Stephanie and Theresa Sapera, and Celine Mahne.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Garden of Memories, 4900 Airline Drive; on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
