Alice Burke Schilling

Alice Burke Schilling, a native of New Orleans, La., passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the age of 88. Wife of the late Michael Lester Schilling. Daughter of the late Magdalena Escher and Richard W. Burke. Loving mother of Clare S. Toups, Karen S. Bretchel, Michael L., James J., Paul J. Schilling and the late Janice S. Ritchie. Mother in law of William B. Bretchel, Preston E. Ritchie, the late Jesslyn L. Schilling and the late Ludger G. Toups Sr. Grandmother of eleven grandchildren and great grandmother of twenty one great grandchildren. Sister of Sr. Richard Marie Burke, S.S.N.D., the late Gerard H., Harold J., Richard F., Warren W., Paul V., Clarence J. and Alvin A. Burke. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and Relatives are invited to attend on Tuesday July 28, 2015 the visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church. St. Angela Merici is located at 901 Beverly Garden Drive, Metairie 70002. Visitation from 10 am to 12:00 noon followed by Mass then Internment at St. Patrick Cemetery # 1 5000 Canal Blvd, New Orleans.
