William (Eddy) Cogburn was born on January 13, 1940, in Antlers, Oklahoma. His family later moved to Artesia, New Mexico, where he attended Artesia High School. He joined the National Guard and then served in the Air Force for 4-1/2 years. While on leave from Thule, Greenland, he married his wife, Nora, and then went to Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. He moved to Dallas to attend school for computer science in 1963. He worked as a computer programmer many years for Trinity Universal Insurance/Kemper and Republic National Insurance. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling, especially in West Texas and the Big Bend area. He loved all kinds of music, especially old country songs. He is survived by a loving family.
