Sandra B. Ellis

Sandra B. Ellis, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born April 13, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to Roy Albert Boyd Jr. and Virginia Rose Bryant Boyd. Sandra was raised in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from Valley High School in 1963, she married the love of her life, Jerald M. Ellis in 1966 until his passing in 1993 and the couple had two children. She was a customer service manager at Wal-Mart where she worked for more than six years.

In her spare time Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family, working at Wal-Mart and working in her garden. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and loving person who loved unconditionally. She was a sweet soul and never met a stranger. A true champion for animals and people alike.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerald M. Ellis; parents, Roy and Virginia Boyd and grandson, Douglas Guzman.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheri Guzman and husband, George and Holly Ellis; grandsons, Jeremy Shawver and wife, Michelle, Josh Jones and wife, Tamara, Cody Ellis and wife, Tracy and Garrett Guzman and wife, Taylor; brothers, Randal Boyd and Andrew Boyd and wife, Darla; significant other, Michael McKee; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Hailey, Casey, Cody Jr., Shane, Alyssa, Aubree, Graysen and Ayden, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

At the request of Sandy, there will not be any services held at this time, she wanted a celebration of life, to be determined. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at a later date at Rockwall Memorial Cemetery.
