Maria Elena married the love of her life Deacon Roberto Loera on May 10, 1980. Roberto lovingly called her “Malena” or “Vale”. They were happily married for 41 years.
Maria Elena is survived by her husband and daughters Carolina, Claudia, Martha, Eliana and Karina. Grandchildren Selena Aimee Solorio, Victor Darian Solorio, Salma Aidee Palacios, Brenda Edith Palacios, Angel Villarreal, Sofia Elena Villarreal, Aurora Luna Martinez, Alexia Martinez, Mariah Alizae Loera, Alani Nykole Puente, and Zayden Ali Puente. Great-Grandchild: Melody Jane Wicher. She leaves behind many loving family members and friends.
Maria Elena rejoins her loved ones most especially her mother Maria Gamboa and only brother Roberto Rodriguez.
She loved knitting, cooking, reading, being active at church and spending time with her family.
Motivated by her enormous faith and love for our Lord, hand in hand she supported her husband through his journey to become a Deacon of the Dallas Catholic Dioceses.
She was a trustworthy and reliable friend, devoted mother, and dedicated church member. Throughout her life she made numerous friends wherever she went and will sincerely be missed by everyone who knew her.
