Born July 7, 1927 in Hugo, Oklahoma and went home to meet the Lord on December 14, 2019 in Mesquite, Texas at the age of 92. Preceded in death by her sister Patsy Stinson Casper, sister Gaye Stinson Matula, brother Richard, brother Howard, and husband of 59 years, Don M. Denton. She was quite literally the girl next door and he was smitten from the git-go. They were married in 1953 and never looked back. Don traveled all over the country with his job, so Jollye got to visit nearly every state in the US while traveling with him. She loved nature and everything in it. She loved to take pictures everywhere she ever went so she could revisit those places at will. The oldest of 7 children, she helped her family through the great depression and was made stronger for it, both in body and mind. She never met a stranger and loved all animals. The neighborhood cats were especially dear to her and she took great joy in caring for them the best she could. She lived a full and happy life and was loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by:
Sister Robbie Stinson Williams and husband Tom.
Sister Connie Hale.
Son Drew.
Son Barry and wife Karen.
Grandson Joshua and wife Ashley.
Grandson Christopher and wife Michel.
Grandson Michael.
Great Grandchildren Farrah, McKenzie, Jason, Dontay, Anniston, and Hannah.
A multitude of Nieces and Nephews and their families.
The love and light she brought to her family and friends will be sorely missed. There is yet another bright spot in heaven for all who enter to witness and enjoy.
