Carlos Rangel

Carlos "Charles" Rangel passed away on the morning of December 31, 2021 at the age of 90. In the past years Carlos survived several serious health issues and had recently joined his wife of 70 years, Marcia, in a senior care facility in Mesquite, Texas where he had 24 hour care. He showed great courage in facing his challenges with a great smile and stayed strong to the end.

Carlos was born in Southmayde, TX to his father Miguel Rangel and his mother Gumacinda Rangel on September 1, 1931. He later moved to Dallas and began sharing his life with Marcia in December 1951 at the age of 20. Together they built a beautiful family. Sons Marcus and Danny Rangel and daughters Vicky and Joanna Rangel. Carlos will be affectionately remembered by many nieces & nephews, cherished friends & neighbors. We all look forward to seeing him again in heaven where he will greet us with a warm hug, a kiss and pack of gum.

He will be greeted in heaven by his parents, his brothers Ignacio Sandoval, Vincent Sandoval, Miguel Rangel, Daniel Rangel and his sister Josephine Sandoval, and his son Daniel Paul Rangel. He is survived by his wife, Marcia. His son Marcus Rangel and daughter-in-law Cindy Rangel, his daughters Vicky Rangel Hall and son-in-law Phillip Hall & Joanna Rangel Jerome and son-in-law Roger Jerome. His grandchildren Jennifer Walker, Jessica Moss, Justin Rangel, Christi Logan, Steven Campbell, and Matthew Campbell. His great-grandchildren Anthony Malloy, Charlie Rangel, Ben Moss & Nate Moss.
