Bertha Jewel Rogers, age 77, passed away on 3/14/2021 in Dallas, TX. She was born on 3/22/1943 in Houston, TX to Dallas Harvey Gregg and Danney Gaynell Hager. Bertha was raised in the Houston area. She held multiple jobs throughout her life. She found her calling as a nurse and earned her ADN degree in nursing at Trinity Valley Community College late in life. She worked at the V.A. Hospital in Dallas. She married her soulmate Jerry Lavon Rogers on 4/16/1997. They had 6 six children. In her spare time Bertha enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, and cooking for her family. Bertha is survived by her sisters, Nell Fry and Lanora Rogers; children, Robert Ray and his children Justin, Trinity, Wyatt, and Michael; Dwight Ray, his wife Kim, and their children, Jennifer, Gabe, and William; Wayne Ray, his wife Cyndi, and their children Wayne Jr, Kevin, and Cody; Brian Rogers; Vickie Jo Rogers Chadwick, and her children, Katie Jo, and Mollie; Roxie and her children Christa, and Jaci. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.
