Steve Newman

Stephen Michael “Steve” Newman, 55, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on August 22, 2013. Born in Guelph, Ontario to John Michael “Mike” and Barbara Ann (Hancock) Newman, Steve arrived on January 25, 1958.

Steve married Dawn L. Deuble on July 30, 1983. Together they had one son. Steve was an avid outdoorsman. In his free time, he liked to go four wheeling, fishing, camping. Steve also enjoyed woodworking and mechanics. His family describes him as a “do anything type of guy.” Steve loved his three dogs.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Dawn Newman; son, Chris Newman; brother, Adrian Newman, his wife, Terri Newman; and nephews, Michael Newman and Anthony Newman; also, Beryl Hall, his beloved aunt, and cousins, Sarah, Diana, Melissa, and Robert and their families; brother and sister in law, Jeff and Kathy Swanson, and nephew JC Swanson. He is preceded in death by his father, Mike Newman; mother, Barbara Newman; and step mother, Polly Newman.

A Memorial Service for Steve will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 1:00pm at Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Steve's name to Special Olympics.
