Rose Marie (Whelan) Lynn passed away on April 13, 2011. She was born in Dubuque, Iowa on February 20, 1926. She attended Clark College, and married James C. Lynn on June 19, 1948. They lived in Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, Iowa, and moved to Mesa in December of 1962.
Rose Marie taught English and Choir at Seton High School, worked as a secretary for Christ The King Church, and was employed by Holy Spirit Church from 1974 through 1989.
She is survived by her three children: Laurie Kramer, Patty Breeding, John Lynn, and six grandchildren: Gary Kramer, Stacy Klopping, Carrie Ross, Brian Love, Audrey and Erica Lynn, and her brother William A. Whelan. She has seven great-grandchildren. Her husband James preceeded her in death 3 years ago.
Her greatest loves, after her family, were music gardening, and bridge.
Her Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Church, 1244 S. Power Road in Mesa. Visitation will commence at 9:30 a.m. April 20th, with Mass to begin at 10:00a.m. Her internment will begin immediately afterward at Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 East Main Street in Mesa.
