She is survived by her son Derek, daughter Jennifer, sister Shelly, and brother Ken. Her mother, Betty Jo Smith, preceded her in death. Paula's love for her family was evident in the strength and support she provided them, creating a nurturing home filled with love and kindness.

Paula enjoyed spending her free time at the movies with her son and daughter, going to many local events with them, and also enjoyed cheering on Arizona's sports teams .
