Mike G. Schutte

Michael G. “Mike” Schutte, 65, of Mesa, AZ passed away November 17, 2016. He was born August 18, 1951 in Lawton, OK and was the son of E.G. and Jo Schutte. Mike earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Wichita State University and worked as a Contracts Manager in Aerospace and Defense for Boeing Corp. and Garrett AiResearch, which merged with Allied Signal in 1964. Following his 30 year career in Aerospace, Mike attended Mesa Community College where he earned his Associates degree in Criminal Justice and went to work for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as a fingerprint technician. He later went to work with the Phoenix Police Dept., for the last 11 years as a Crime Scene Specialist. Mike loved golfing, airplanes and flying, but what meant most to him was the time he had with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Lynne Schutte; three children, Brittany (Mike) Bingel, Michael (Jenny) Schutte Jr. and Michele (Jim Moss) Schutte; grandchildren, Connor and Caitlyn Bingel and Adriana and Braydon Schutte as well as his sister, Sandy Blaylock. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa.
