Joseph Cooper, also known as Joe or Jay, was, born in California July 10th 1946. Died April 9th 2022 in Mesa Arizona. He was the only son of the late Joseph Joe Cooper and Betty Cooper. Joseph was married over fifty years to his late wife Joy Cooper preceded him in death on November 26th of 2020. He is survived by his sister Shirl Whitley, and Rusty and Jacob, his two nephews. He is also survived by his children Cathy, Carolann and Dawn, grand children Shelby and Araon.Joseph (dad) met his wife Joy in Colorado where they were married, after a couple of years. The family moved to Logan Kansas to start 15 years of farm life. Joseph was a jack of all trades; Joseph worked as a truck driver for Coors in Colorado , Co-op in the grain elevator's and hailing feed to the farmers, flagging the crop dusters in the fields, part time cop (security) in Logan, drove a truck for Tamp-Co in Philpsburg Kansas. Joseph he’s wife Joy and daughter Dawn moved to Gilbert Arizona in 1989 for medical reasons.Here after doing a few odd jobs, he finally settled down working as a bus driver, where he retired after over 20 yrs at the Gilbert School District where he drove a bus for the little kids and the EVIT route. He also played Santa for the mall, friends, neighbors, and Patterson elementary school which gave him such joy. Joseph Cooper was a person that loved to talk and talk to anyone that would listen. There wasn’t much he wouldn’t do for a person in need.
