James S. Rager Jr.

James married Ruth A. Smith on November 5, 1955. They were happily married for 45 years when Ruth passed away on August 27, 2001. James and Ruth moved to Arizona 1985 to be closer to their grandchildren. James was a John Wayne fan. He enjoyed watching war movies and John Wayne Western movies. James enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to sit down for family meals with his children and grandchildren, especially if his daughter, Dawn was cooking.

James is survived by son, Mark W. Rager (Sonja); daughters, Dawn M. Gray (Luther Hafner) and Kristen S. Conrad-Ridenhour; grandchildren, Bradley Gray, Lyndsie Frederick (Joshie), Michael Gray, Samantha Maimer (Joe), Remington Gray, Joshua Rager, Jacob Conrad, Nickolas Conrad, and Tyler Conrad; and sisters, Nancy Nottnagel and Gladen Hamerish. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. Rager; son, James S. Rager III; father, James S. Rager Sr.; mother, Virginia Saylor; and brother, Charles Rager.

A memorial service for James will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 1:00pm at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 6747 East Broadway Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206.
