Elizabeth Amelia Slater passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her home in Apache Junction, Arizona. Elizabeth was born on March 24, 1924 in Fremont, Michigan to Clark and Bessie (Scott) Mills. Elizabeth had many interest, she was a professional singer, nurse’s aide, homemaker, an avid golfer and participated in her church choir. She was a happy person who was very active, loved life, people, and the Lord. Elizabeth was most proud of being the matriarch of five generations. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda and husband Chester. Elizabeth is survived by two sons: Fred A. Beane & Barry Barrett; one daughter, Judith A. Lee; one sister, Barbara Albaitis; ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great, great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all. The memorial service will be June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Christian Church 1150 West Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction.
