To Donna and girls...
Ii just recently found out about Donnie's passing and want to send my deepest sympathy. We went to high school together and had alot of great times. I will remember him fondly, always.

Don and I were classmates and happy single roommates in a trailer in So. Windham so long ago.. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I have thought of those days and can't believe so much time has passed, So sorry for your loss ,he was a good man and a great friend. Jeff Heath, Maine

erin when we were younger i felt like your home was my second home and your dad was my 2nd dad. i love you guys and your dad always was a good man he holds a special place in my heart and always will im still crying my heart aches for you and your family i would take my children to his trailer and visit every now and then my son liked him he said he was a nice man with cool looking hair lol we gave your dad a hard time when we were young didnt we my mom to but he was still the best person i know i dont know how he could be so calm with us and our sneaky ways i go nuts with my own kids. he was always nice no matter what we did i have lots of good memories with you and your dad that i will charish forever. you and your family are in my prayers everyday. p.s. don you will always be loved and missed no one can take your place love shavon delozier (shimmy)

Don and I attended school together from grades 2 thru 12.  I'm looking at our 4th grade class photo as I write this.  We were usually the tallest students in class.  Sometimes Don was a little taller, and sometimes I was.  Every time we had a class photo, the teacher would get us into order by height and would start with Don and me.  Don and I would be left standing together while the remainder of the class was assembled.  We would discuss the things important to school boys.  I was sometimes doing a bit better on academics than Don was, but Don was always doing a LOT better than I was on team sports.

I never saw Don after we graduated from Windham high school; although I heard that he, too, had left Maine to live in the west.  I was especially sobered to hear he had died of a heart attack, because I survived a surprise cardiac episode only a month earlier.  My blood pressure and cholesterol had always been low, but emergency room evaluation of sudden angina revealed an artery the cardiologists call the "widowmaker" was more than 90% blocked.  A stent reopened it, but I feel a combat veteran's sense of guilt that the bullet that missed me hit Don.  The hardest part of growing old is looking back on our lives and realizing how many people who have been important to us are gone.  Thankfully, the memories of their friendship give us the strength to carry on.

Daddy,
You were not only the greatest father in the world but you were my best friend. I will miss our talks while driving home from work and the kids laughter when they played with you. I am saddened by the fact that they will not have the opportunity to learn from you all the wonderful things you have to offer. It was a blessing to see you turn into a such a child when you played with them. 

I will make a strong effort to take time to hike more and enjoy the great outdoors so I can keep your love for these things alive. I have always told people that you were my hero because you always put us first in your life as well as taught me how to be an upstanding person. I can only hope to touch as many people as you did and to be as good of a person as you were. I will think about you EVERY DAY and try not to cry too much while doing it. I know you would want me to live my life with a happy heart and remember you with a smile.

I love you and will see you again soon!

Mr. Jean was a wonderful man. He will be very deaply missed. I remember when i used to go over to there house and play with Erin when were kids, and to see his smile on his face. it was like a sunshine was shineing so bright.

When I heard the news that Don had died, I cried. I cried hard. (And I'm crying again.) I cried for a man who loved his friends, who loved his family, who loved his grandchildren, I had the pleasure of knowing Don 28 years and he was such a wonderful man.He will be missed dearly. The pictures are beautiful.

Donna, friends and family;
    Please know that your sorrow is shared by many, many people.
    How fortunate Del and I feel for having an opportunity to spend a few hours with Don the past  fall. Though our lives took us in very diffrent directions, it was wonderful to see that the bumps and curves of Dons life did not change the person we all knew and loved.
     Don had trully found peace in his life and an easyness with knowing he had taken care of his responsibilities and all would be faverable in  his ultimate judgment .
     I am reminded of a discussion I had with a young employee a few years ago . He asked me if I believed in life after death, and my respose to him was a  simple yes. When he inquired further, I explained that I believed that everyone  lives on in the lives of those they touch. Don is no
 exception.  
     My personal experiances with Don live as an example, in that our lives were affected by the experiances we had together, and helped create the people we ultimatley became. Those leasons we in turn have passed on to others we have nurtured and mentored.
     I'm sure I will not hike a mountain top, or walk a trail with out feeling the presence of my friend Don.
     I know you' re listening Don, so if your shooting hoops with Duanne, you had better get on the foul line 'caus when I get there I'll still kick your butts.  Til then keep the light on , love ya Jim and Del

Mrs. Jean.  I went to school with your husband and have not seen him since our graduation.  I remember him as a kind and consideration young man and always a smile.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  May God Bless and comfort you and your family during this time of loss.
