Diane Kuefler

Diane was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and spent her summers at the family cabin in Lake of the Woods. She was an avid swimmer, very creative, an amazing hostess, and had a good eye for design. While in nursing school at the University of Alberta, Diane met her husband Lloyd and she worked as a pediatric nurse before starting a family. She poured her life and heart into her family, supporting Lloyd’s career moves and nurturing their three daughters. Diane loved to spend time with her family - at home, at the family cabin and exploring in and around the different places her family lived. Becoming a grandma was one of her greatest joys.

Diane became a Christian in her mid-thirties. She was full of life and marked by her steady, joy-filled faith. Diane was hungry for the Lord and her joy and confidence was rooted in Him. She delighted to study His word, was faithful in prayer and actively sought visible reminders of spiritual truth. Diane often reminded people that “God doesn’t like sweat,” but simply calls us to abide in Him. The Lord gave her a love of other people’s children; she was passionate about meeting preschoolers at their level and teaching them about Jesus. Diane was also interested in green cleaning, and used her consulting platform to minister to other women and financially support missionaries. After Lloyd retired, he and Diane attended Bodenseehof Bible School in Germany, fulfilling a long standing dream. She will be remembered for her laugh, her genuine love for others and her yearning for the Lord’s return.

Diane will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Lloyd; her three daughters, Lindsay (Tonny) Rivero, Megan, and Amy; her three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sebastian, and Benjamin Rivero; sisters Pat (James) Stansberry, Carol (Steve) Groff-Drury, and Joanne Groff; mother-in-law, Leone Kuefler; sister-in-law Dianne Kowalenko; brothers-in-law Ron (Bev), Del (Lori), Lyle and Arlyn (Teresa); numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and countless friends.

Family and friends will be invited to a celebration of Diane’s life when we can do so safely. In memory of Diane, donations may be made to Barrow Neurological Foundation, Hospice of the Valley, Moms in Prayer International or Torchbearers International.
