Deborah "Debbie" Ann Derby

Debbie was born on December 3rd, 1950 in Keene, New Hampshire to Kenneth and Frances (Nareau) Derby. In 1969 she began her 30 year marriage. In 1999 she met her current boyfriend of twenty years, Brian Knapp. Together they moved from Massachusetts to Arizona to start a new life. Debbie worked at many different companies during the years but always picked ones where she could help others. She was a CNA for most of her life working at various nursing homes and hospitals, worked as a party planner at McDonald’s and most recently was a bus monitor for special needs children for Chandler Schools. Somedays it was a rough job, but she loved working with the kids.

Debbie is survived by her 2 daughters and son-in-laws, Wendy and Steve Foral of Mesa, AZ and Tracy and John Halupowski, of Haverhill, MA. Her granddaughters and loves of her life; Melanie Foral, Madeline, and Ava Halupowski and her only brother, Robert Derby of Scottsdale AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Frances (Nareau) Derby of New Hampshire.

A funeral is scheduled for 2pm on February 20th, 2019 at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa, AZ, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Debbie’s life.
