David Smith, 75, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on June 30, 2012. David was born May 29, 1937 in New York City, New York to John and Violet Smith. He had served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years. David had a passion for life and enjoyed woodworking, flying, ball room dancing, making jewelry and just spending time with the grandchildren. He is survived by his sons Chris (Melissa Drake) Smith and Jon Smith, his 2 granddaughters Nikka and Alexandria as well as many friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 9, 2012 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 East Broadway Road in Mesa.
