David Paul Ortiz, 60, of San Tan Valley, Arizona passed away, November 22, 2020. He was born November 22, 1960 in Lynwood, California to Albert Martinez and Barbra Jean [Billings] Ortiz. David was a “fun loving, great guy, who enjoyed having a good time. In his younger years, he enjoyed going to concerts, as he got older, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family; he was a real homebody. He attended Santa Fe High School in 9th and tenth grade and finished his last year at Frontier High School in Santa Fe Springs, California. David met the love of his life, Debra Ramirez and the two later eloped to Las Vegas, getting married on August 30, 1986. After high school, he went on to work with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers until 1998 when he took on a job with the Teamsters as a dock worker with the Yellow Roadway Trucking Company from 1998 until retiring in 2015. David is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Debra Ortiz; his children, Melissa (Salvador) Carbrera, Danielle Morales, Christopher (Kaytlyn) Ortiz, Michael (Amanda) Ortiz, Michelle (Justin) Benson and adopted son, Josh (Branzley) Barella; grandchildren, Breanna, Isaac, Anthony, Kaylee, Tommy, Klaire, Madeleine, Emily, Clayton, Maebelle and Aubrey; his siblings, Ron (Debbie) Ortiz, Susan (Steve) Gallion and Kelly Ortiz as well as numerous nieces and nephews. All who knew him will dearly miss him. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens.
