Cheryl Lynn Patterson

Cheryl was born July 10, 1961 to Herman and Clarice Mooi in Michigan City, Indiana. Cheryl graduated from Mountain View High School in 1979.

Shortly after she met David Cupka. Cheryl and David went on to have 2 children, Michael and Kenneth Cupka.

She later met her second husband and soulmate, Robert Patterson in 1986. They got married in 1987 and were married for 32 years before Robert passed away in June 2019.

Cheryl spent her life ensuring her family was taken care of. She loved her husband and kids unconditionally. She was a great bookkeeper and a wonderful planner. On her spare time you could find her doing anything from making puzzles to building a work bench.

Cheryl is survived by two brothers; Gene and Clarence Mooi, four sisters; Irene Kimball, Shirley Oates, Robin Grubbs and Rita Gallagher, two sons; Michael and Kenneth Cupka, and one granddaughter; Alexis Gault.

A funeral service for Cheryl will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206, followed by a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
