Cecil Wayne Morgan, of Mesa, AZ passed away January 24, 2011 at the age of 77. Cecil was born September 23, 1933 in Sioux City, IA to Martin Luther and Clara Violet [Johnson] Morgan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and served on the USS GEN W A Mann after which he went to work for Crescent Electric in Sioux City, IA and subsequently General Electric for 38 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Bette Morgan, daughter Liz (Jerry) Loewenhagen, Gilbert, AZ, granddaughter Stephanie Loewenhagen (Jason Dean), Chandler, AZ., grandson Nick Loewenhagen, Gilbert, AZ great-granddaughters Katelyn Dean and Khloe Dean, Chandler, AZ., brothers Robert (Mildred) Morgan of Mesa, AZ, Lyle Morgan of Sioux City IA and sister Dorothy (Cecil) VanderWeil also of Sioux City IA, sister-in-law Vera Morgan, uncles Al (Bev) Morgan and Jim (Louise) Morgan of Scottsdale, AZ. and many cousins, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Howard Morgan, Harold (Jean) Benson and Homer (Addie) Morgan and a sister-in-law Marilyn Morgan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29 from 9:00 am – 1:00pm with a memorial service @ 1:00pm followed by fellowship at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be donated to the American Cancer Society or the Sunshine Acres Childrens Home in Mesa, AZ 85215.
