Joyce Ann Beatty

Joyce Ann Beatty of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away on March 28, 2023, at the age of 86. Joyce was born in Akron, Ohio, on June 12, 1936. She graduated from Rollins College and taught elementary school at St. Teresa’s Catholic School in Titusville, Florida.

Joyce was a devout Catholic who serviced the Lord by becoming a registered Homebound Eucharistic Minister, volunteering her time in her community, schools, churches, and retirement facilities. She was the kindest and most loving person who would help anyone anytime.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward Beatty; children Pamela and Jill (James); grandchildren, Samantha (Michael), Jessica (Auston), Connor, Jackson, and Jordyn; great-grandchildren Peyton and Harper; sister-in-law Edna, two nephews Michael and Timothy (Lisa) and their families. Her mother, Florida, father, William, and brother, William, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be held at Our Saviors Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach, Florida, on April 28 at 1:00 in the afternoon; immediately after service, she will be laid to rest in the Memorial Garden at the church, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to consider donating to Hospice of Health First.
