James Uriah Matlock

Graveside services for James Uriah Matlock will be held Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Earl Wheatley officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Matlock, 79, of Meridian, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was retired from McDonald and Hill Incorporated. He also worked for the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, generosity, and his desire to help others.

Mr. Matlock is survived by the mother of his children, Dorothy Roberts Matlock of Meridian; his children, William Gary Matlock and his wife Belinda of Meridian; Judy Burrell and her husband Ken of Cato, Mississippi; step-daughter, Theresa Brunelle of Meridian; grandchildren, Alan Barlow, Will Matlock, and Meredith Brooks and her husband Joey; great grandchildren, Hunter Barlow, Jonathan Roberts, Carly Owen, Zoe Brooks, Coleman Brooks, and Lake Brooks. Mr. Matlock is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many kind and close friends.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00pm at Barham Funeral Home
