Ronald Lee Legan, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away in Merced, California on March 27, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born on December 30, 1939 in Phillipsburg, Missouri to parents Daniel Lee Legan and Leola May Vincent Legan.
Ronald served in the US Army from 1958 to 1962. After returning home he married the former Carole Scialabba on May 18, 1963. He worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company from 1965 to 1975 in Visalia and then transferred to Merced in1975 as Branch Manager of the Merced Branch. He retired in 1991. He was a member of the Merced Lions Club and served as president from 1980 to 1981. He also was a member of the Merced Trade Club and served as a director until he retired. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and took pride in caring for the church grounds as gardening was his passion. He loved to fish and traveling in his motorhome so much so that he was able to travel to every state in the US, Mexico and Canada.
Ronald is survived by his wife Carole Legan, his sons Kevin Legan (Đan) and Darren Legan (Gayle) and his two grandsons, Ben and Jack. His family was the light of his life. Ronald was always ready to help a friend in anyway he could and he will be greatly missed.
