Louise Bertuccio was born on August 9, 1936 to Jack and Pauline Ratto and passed away on February 28, 2018. Louise was a resident of Merced for 58 years. She was a devoted housewife and mother to her family. As a young lady she would help out on the family dairy; she would go out and feed the baby calves throughout the day and still have a hot dinner ready for everyone at home every night. Her home was the summer gathering place for all the grandchildren which she would welcome with loving arms. Louise loved to go to town to do her shopping. She has left behind so many loving and wonderful memories of family holiday gatherings at her home.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband Andrew Bertuccio, her father Jack Ratto; mother, Pauline Ratto and her sister Margaret Maggiora.
She is survived by her children Renee (Brian) Downum, Steve (Kristie) Bertuccio, Michael (Jennifer) Bertuccio, Chris Bertuccio, who reside in the Merced, Atwater area. She is also survived by her sisters Antoinette (George) Carbone of Alameda and Lorraine Bertuccio of Merced; her grandchildren Justin (Megyn) Bertuccio, Kenny Downum, Keith Downum, Ridge Bertuccio, Alyssa Bertuccio, Breona Bertuccio, Marissa Bertuccio; along with many nieces and nephews who love her dearly.
There will be a visitation held for Louise on March 7, 2018 from 3:30-7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church located at 459 W. 21st Street, Merced, California, with the rosary stating at 7:00 p.m.. A Catholic Mass will be held on March 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church located at 671 E. Yosemite Ave, Merced, California with interment following immediately at Evergreen Memorial Park, Merced, California.
