A longtime resident of the Merced, Atwater and Winton area. She attended John Muir Elementary and Merced High School, graduating in 1953. She enjoyed roller skating, bowling, and her husband’s auto racing.
While she was growing up, she had only one goal for her future. To have a long and happy marriage, two children (a girl and a boy) and a long career in an office. She achieved all those: 58 years with her husband Jim, two children (girl and boy) and 44 years in the same office. She started 1953 after graduating with American Partition and retired with Rock-Tenn Co. (now RTS Packaging), in 1997.
She is survived by her Son, Jim Womack (Karel), Daughter Debra Reynolds (Tom), six grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband Jim, Mother and Father Kenneth and Bessie Sutton, step-father Bob Hooker and Sister Nola Schrock. Interment will be at the Winton Cemetery next to her husband at a later date.
