It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Charles A. Penner on March 6, 2021. Charles was born October 6, 1948 in Merced to Ernest and Helena Penner. He was retired from the Merced City Schools where he worked as a maintenance man. He was very social and enjoyed talking to new people and never met a stranger. He had several close friends and made new ones everywhere he went. Charles was an avid golfer at Merced Golf and Country Club for many years and he loved riding motorcycles.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Helena Penner; his beloved wife Teri Penner and his brother, Glen Penner.
He is survived by his son Jeremy (Kelly) Penner of Merced; his grandchildren, Reilly and Tatum; his stepson Jeffrey Del Dotto of Merced; his sister, Esther (Gary) Nielsen of Reno and his brother Hank (Bonnie) Penner of Merced.
There will be a Celebration of Life held for Charles at a future date. Memories and Remembrances may be left for the family at stratfordevansfuneral.com.
