On November 28, 2023, Ann Crawford went to be with her Lord and Savior, as well as all of her loved ones in Heaven. She was part of the "Greatest Generation". She was proceeded in death by her father, Charles Markley, her mother, Maggie Lee (Hawkins) Markley and the love of her life, husband, Chester (Pete) L. Crawford. She was the youngest of seven children. She is survived by her son, Chester David, (Fran) Crawford, granddaughter, Cassie Garcia, great-great granddaughters Destiny (Eric) Crawford, Alyssa and Gabriella Garcia and great-great-great granddaughter Marlow Vasquez. Also, her extended family, Jackie Guisto, Jennifer (Philip), Anthony and Lazaro Sanchez, Richard (Jenn) Zayden and Dikoda Diamond. She attended The Chowchilla School district & was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She grew up in the 30's and 40's, but lived through the 60's and 70's. We moved to Merced in 1960, she had various jobs. She became the office manager for Newberry's in the "R" St. shopping center. Then got a job as a sells representative for Control Data Corp, that is where she got enough experience to start her own business, Crawford Business Forms. CBF was a successful business for 25+ years, She was in a man's industry but she was able to "hold her own" and was respected by her competitors. She retired in 2016. Because she was always spiritual, she was always looking for a church to belong to. She and Dad were part of the founding members of Christian Life Center in Merced. If anyone knew her, they knew how much she loved to laugh. In leu of flowers, please make donations to your local Alzheimer's foundation.
A funeral service for Ann will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 95341. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from at Evergreen Memorial Park, 1480 B Street, Merced, CA 95341 with a reception to follow at Christian Life Center 650 East Olive Ave Merced CA 95340
