Eugene J. Hetzel

Age 78, was called to our Lord on February 14, 2014 on North Hutchinson Island in Florida. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Norbert and Verna (nee Brickler) Hetzel. Gene was a devoted husband and soul mate to Ione (nee Haeberlein) for 59 years. He was preceded in death by cherished daughter, Cathy Yogerst. He was a loving father to his children, Christine (Leroy) Searing, Jeffrey (Karen), Cynthia Livingston, John (Tanya), Colleen (Keith) Rogers and James (Michelle). Nothing pleased him more than to be with his family, particularly his 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, each of which he treasured. Caring brother to Ralph (Rosemary) and Kathleen (Richard) Lee.

Gene was a member of the BAC Tile Layers Local No. 5, a member of the Knights of Columbus and also served as a volunteer EMT for the Menomonee Falls Fire Department.

Gene was loved and will be greatly missed by many friends and relatives. He founded Hetzel Tile and was known for his honesty and quality of workmanship in the construction industry. You could always count on Gene to show up and help with any project without being asked.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave,

Menomonee Falls from 10 AM until time of Mass at 12 Noon. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
