Kristine “Kris” Ambrogio, age 73, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 27, 2023, after a brief but hard-fought battle against advanced ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.) During her battle with this painful disease, Kris never complained but instead she comforted others during this tough time with her positive attitude and strength.
She was born June 17, 1950, in Oberlin, Ohio, a daughter to the late Charles and Ellen Kyle.
Her family later moved to Montebello, CA where she attended grade school and graduated from Montebello High School in 1968.
At the age of fifty, she retired as a claims adjustor for the Auto Club of Southern California with over 25 years of dedicated service.
Kris was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile would light up every room she entered. She cared deeply for the people around her. She was very active and enjoyed spending every minute she could with family and friends. She enjoyed her retirement years with her husband John, living on their ranch, riding horses, taking Harley rides and RV trips with family and friends. She especially loved spendng time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will forever be missed by all.
Kris was preceded in death by her husband John who was the love of her life on November 24, 2022.
Kris is survived by her four children, Jeff Hurd (Jennifer), Maile Gaffney (Tim), Tony Asam (Cindy) and Bryan Ambrogio. Her three siblings; Kathy Murphy (Greg), Kevin Kyle (Diane), and Kraig Kyle (Eleanor). Her nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.
