William Leslie Floyd, age 79 of Memphis, formerly of McNairy County, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday May 29, 2013. He was born October 10, 1933 in McNairy, Tennessee to the late William Ervin Floyd and Sarah Jewell Bailey Floyd. His hobbies included watch repair, antique collecting, carpentry repair, and mechanical repair. He is preceded in death by his wife, Letha Jewell Newman Floyd. Survivors include 3 sons, Ervin (Janet), Richard, and Ronald (Tanya) Floyd; 1 brother, James H. Floyd. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue, Friday, May 31 from 5-7 PM, with refreshments provided. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, June 1 at Family Funeral Care. Graveside services will be held 2:30 Saturday at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Finger, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
