He is survived by his loving lifetime partner Beth Ferguson, his son Brad Harrison and daughter, Kim Culver, his grandchildren, Abby and Harrison, his sister, Linda Simms along with many loyal friends and extended family members. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, James and Agnes Harrison of Memphis and his former spouse and children‘s mother, Barbara Daugherty.
Tom was born November 2, 1955 and spent his childhood in the Oakhaven area of Memphis playing baseball and being mischievous. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 1979 from the University of Memphis and spent most of his career bossing people around as the Division Manager at National Filter Media where he retired in December 2021.
He was a passionate hunter, whether it was deer or antiques at Sheffield Antiques Mall or Amazon. Tom loved to hunt. As an alumnus, he was a lifelong supporter of Memphis Tigers basketball and football programs and a season ticket holder for The Orpheum Broadway Season for many years. His favorite was Mama Mia!
Tom will be remembered for his very quick sarcastic wit and his gift of encouragement to friends, family and employees.
He will be forever missed. Until we meet again….
As a life long supporter of St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in lieu of flowers, Tom would be honored if you would make a donation on his behalf.
