Susan Marie Parker, age 67, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. She was born in McLean County, North Dakota, on March 4, 1957 to Arnold Walter and Genevieve Anderson Walter.
She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, William I Parker, Jr. of Cordova, TN, her daughter Cheryl White (husband Kelly) of Southaven, MS, three grandchildren - Steph Segars (husband Kyle) of Olive Branch, MS, Jason Clarkson of Atlanta, GA, and Harley Bumpous (husband Matt) of Southaven, MS. She also leaves behind her mother Genevieve Walter, her brother Andy Walter and her sister Naomi Walter all from North Dakota. She had one great-grandchild, Ellie.
Sue was a devoted wife and worked to make sure her husband, and everyone around her, were happy and had everything they needed, or wanted, when possible.
She was a caring boss to those who worked for her and was organized and detailed in all things professional and personal. She never forgot a birthday and never failed to reach out on those occasions or to send a card for special holidays.
Sue loved to read. She was active in her church and loved meeting with the ladies in the church whenever possible for fellowship. She was faithful to her devotions and her beliefs. She loved to volunteer and was very charitable, donating to almost every organization that asked. She was extremely generous.
She loved the outdoors, flowers, and especially camping (specifically at Enid) and her favorite place to be was where they camped regularly.
She will be truly missed.
