Russell “Rusty” Gordon Anderson Jr, 60 of Millington, Tn passed away suddenly on Thursday November 11, 2021. Russell who was an avid University of Memphis Tigers fan was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. Russell took pride in working in his yard and recently became entranced with growing Figs and making his own preserves to share with family and friends.
Russell also known as “Possum” to his co-workers was a dedicated 27-year employee of YRC and was recognized by his leadership for always being willing to go the extra mile to help with anything needed at any time.
Russell leaves behind three children; Erica Anderson of Cordova TN, Russell Gordon Anderson III and Tiffany Anderson of Drummond TN, and two grandchildren, Jenna and Duncan both of Drummond. Russell was preceded in death by his Mother Jessie R. Warrington and his Father Russell Gordon Anderson Sr. Russell leaves behind 4 siblings, Tina Bowles of Liberty, MO., Katherine Johnson of Cordova, Tn., William Anderson of Arizona and Christine Cartwright of Collierville TN.
Celebration of Life Services for Russell will be held at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis TN 38119 on Wednesday November 17, 2021. Visitation at 1pm with Service starting at 2pm. Graveside services will take place at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 3700 N. Germantown Pkwy in Bartlett, Tn. The Family welcomes you to come in all your Tiger gear as we remember and celebrate Russell. We know that he would truly love that!
