Roy Brona Moseley, Jr., 86, passed away of cardiac arrest, on Friday, December 3, 2010 at his home in Memphis. He was born at his home in Whitehaven, Tennessee and graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1943. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Mr. Moseley was an auto body repairman for A.S. Martin and Sons for over 20 years and retired from Tom Martin, Inc. in 1998. He was a navy veteran who served as first gunner’s mate on the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Intrepid during WWII. He loved sports and working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He is survived by the ‘love of his life’, his wife Margaret G. Moseley. He was and is the love of her life. Also surviving are three sons, Roy Brona Moseley III of Memphis; Robert C. ‘Bob’ Moseley of Memphis; David Michael Moseley of Cordova; one daughter, Carolyn L. Moseley Winstead of Collierville; a sister, Helen Marie Moseley Walker of Baltimore; and 2 grandchildren, Robert Austin Winstead, Jr. and Lauren Elizabeth Winstead. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Pearl Fuller, and Roberta Rose Johnson. Funeral services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Poplar Chapel on Wednesday, December 8 at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Forest Hill East. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 7, from 5:00-8:00.
