Rosalie Hayhurst Hall, 78, of Memphis died on August 17, 2011 from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Gordon Spencer Hall; her daughters, Diane Hall and Mary Ellen Hall McIntire of Memphis; her sons Kenneth Hall and Carl Hall of Memphis; and her son Richard Hall of Southaven, MS; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She also leaves a sister, Margaret Hayhurst Travers of Portsmouth, NH. She was preceded in death by her sons, Martin Hall and Glenn Hall, and her brother, Alfred Hayhurst of Huntington, NY. Rosalie was born January 3, 1933 in Boston, MA, and moved to Memphis in August of 1974. She has been a member of St. Peter Catholic Church of Memphis since 1982. Rosalie was a living example of unconditional love and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Ave, North Chapel, on Friday, August 19 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be at St. Peter Catholic Church on Saturday, August 20 at 2 p.m. with reception after in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Church Health Center of Memphis.
