Rosalie “Lily” DeMarco Allen departed this life on March 27, 2025. She was a native Memphian, the daughter of the late John and Grace Scola DeMarco. She was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Hudson and brother, Joseph DeMarco. She is survived by two daughters, Grace Allen Kreager and Rosie Allen Wedaman, both of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Laura Kreager Hehn (John), Tony Kreager (Kaitlyn), and Maria Wedaman Fahrenkopf (Chad), as well as seven great grandchildren.
Her Catholic faith, Italian heritage and family were the most important things in her life. As a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 52 years, she served as President of the Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister of the Sick and Homebound, volunteered for years at the Memphis Italian Festival, kept children in the nursery and was eager to help wherever needed. She loved playing bingo and bunco with her friends. Professionally, Lily worked in mortgage servicing for Boyle Investment Company, Union Planters, Singelton Mortgage and Refco before retiring. Her presence will be deeply missed but her legacy of faith, wisdom and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 5:00-6:30pm with the Rosary at 6:30pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 4851 Park Avenue Memphis, TN 38117.
