Robert "Bob" Adger Ellison, age 80, of Bartlett, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Friday June 19, 2020. Robert was born July 3, 1939 in Anderson County, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Wilma Ellison and his brother, David Carlton Ellison.
Bob retired from Youth Villages and was a graduate of Furman University in Greensville, South Carolina. He served our country with dignity in the United States Airforce and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 50 years, Linda Ellison; a son, Charles David Ellison; two sisters, Jean (Wade) Browing and Ann (James) Rhodes of South Carolina; one aunt, Leona Tyner of Anderson, SC; several nieces and nephews. Bob was the Godfather to Doug Jr., Brian and Robyn Bills.
A visitation for Bob will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with services to follow at Faith Baptist Church, 3755 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133. His interment will follow his celebration of life at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
The family request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Faith Baptist Church Music Ministry, 3755 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
