It is with heavy hearts that we must share with family and friends that Robbie “Ann” (Russell) Weir passed from this life and entered Glory on October 10, 2020 at Baptist Hospital DeSoto in Southaven, MS.
Ann was born on October 06, 1943 in Chester County, TN to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Dunn) Russell (Bob and Betsy) of Sweetlips, TN. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1961 and shortly thereafter moved to Memphis, TN. She worked for a short time in Banking but ultimately ended up working for 40+ very gratifying years in her career with Wurzburg Brothers where she excelled and moved up to become the Executive Manager over the Transportation department prior to her retirement. She often spoke fondly of the many and dear friends and acquaintances that she made during her time there.
Ann was an active member of Hernando Baptist Church until her illness. She will be fondly remembered as an excellent cook who loved to entertain guests and who always loved to laugh and enjoy herself and her family and friends to the fullest. She loved to work in her yard when able and enjoyed reading, embroidery and watching television.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Russell, and by one of her sisters, Bobbi Jean (Russell) Chrostoski. The family she leaves behind include one son, Ryan Weir, one granddaughter, Chloe Wood, two grandsons, Eden Parrish and Seth Weir, and three great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn her loss are her two sisters, her best friends and constant companions and supporters, Jonez (Russell) Haslett (Bill) and Nancy (Russell) Rutledge, as well as a host of loving Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Nephews and many Cousins.
