Rebecca Helen Howell

Becky was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who selflessly placed others before herself on so many occasions. Her passion in life above everything was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, bowling, and studying genealogy in her free time.

Becky leaves behind many loving family members including her father William David Cook Sr., husband of 45 years David Earl Howell, children David Earl Howell Jr. (Kim) and Jennifer Howell Engle (CD), and five grandchildren Charles Engle III “Trey” (8), Jace Engle (7), Hudson Howell (4), Hadley Howell (2), and Hope Engle (1). She is preceded in death by her mother Theresa Cook, brothers William David Cook Jr. and Randy Cook, granddaughter Emma Mae Engle, and nephew Tyler Cook.

In lieu of flowers, Becky requested that donations be made to the Preeclampsia Foundation that are specifically earmarked for HELLP syndrome research in honor of her granddaughter, Emma Mae.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 23 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. There will be a visitation period from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will occur at Memphis Memory Gardens.
