Nancy Teague Harris

Nancy Teague Harris of Memphis was born on July 1, 1941 and went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2015. She was a graduate of Messick High School, and received an Associate’s Degree in Perfusion Technology from the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, TX. Nancy’s greatest gift was caring for others and the unconditional love given to her family and friends. She was an avid tennis player in her early years and enjoyed water sports and fishing. She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church and later Assembly of God, where she was active in youth ministries. Her medical career included working at Baptist Memorial Hospital, UT Medical Group and later retiring from UT Bowld Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Bernice Teague and her husband, James S. Harris. Nancy is survived by two brothers, Charles Teague and Michael Teague (Debra); three step-daughters, Carol Groce, Karon Carroll and Marion Massey; and by two nephews, Christopher Teague (Heather) and Blake Teague. A Gathering of family and friends will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, on Monday, March 2 from 12-2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm.
