Murphy Monroe McCrary Jr. born November 6, 1938 in Memphis Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 27, 2017. He is survived by his son Monte McCrary (Karen), his daughter Melinda McCrary-Feaker (Brad), his sisters Patsy McMahon and Mary Sue Hindman, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his Judy Lynn family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Monroe McCrary Sr and Jeanette, his brother Bill McCrary and his daughter, Cheryl McCrary-Holmes. Murphy was a retired Memphis City policeman, and served in the Air National Guard, and lived in Memphis most of his life. Visitation and services will be on Friday September 1, 2017 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
