Melba L. Thomas, 96, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Her parents, Oscar and Rosa Lee Phillips preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Elvis E. Thomas; he passed on March 22, 2014 after 71 years of marriage. She is survived by two children, Ronnie (Martha Jane) of Smyrna and Leann Luther of Lakeland, TN; four grandchildren, Phil, Janie, Lindsey, Laura; and two great grandchildren, Connor and Audrey. She loved her family and serving others. Her love of the Lord always shined thru her. Family will receive guests Tuesday at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. from 11 am until the funeral service begins at 12 pm. Services will be officiated by Pastor Chris Perry.
