Larry was born November 19th, 1955, in Memphis, TN to Lillian and Austin Nelson. He was a surveyor and civil engineer most of his life after his time serving his country in our armed forces. Larry loved to make people laugh and sing karaoke at bars. Those were his two favorite past times.
He had one true love in his life, and that was to his late wife, Cheryl Nelson, who passed away too early in life from cancer in 2005. He never truly recovered from the heartbreak of losing his one true love. He wanted to be remembered as a loving grand father to his only grandson, Dylan Nelson.
Mr. Nelson is survived by his son, Justin Nelson (Adrienne); grandson, Dylan Nelson; brother, Gary Nelson (Sherrye); and brother, Phillip Nelson (Susan).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Leatherwood; father, Austin Nelson; wife, Cheryl Nelson; and brother, Raymond Nelson.
