Joseph Paschal Neeley, known to family and friends as Pat, was born November 4, 1948 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. His childhood years were spent in Greenwood, Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee. He attended White Station Elementary School and graduated from Germantown’s M. C. Williams High School in 1966. Pat studied electrical engineering at Memphis State University after which he began a career in sales and importing. In 1984, he joined his wife, Elaine, in establishing Hickory Ridge Studio. Together, they published and marketed her artwork. Pat is remembered as a fun loving uncle to nieces and nephews, and a mentor to many young people with whom he shared his love of fishing, his strong work ethic and his ability to fix anything.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Paschal Neeley, Sr. and Jean Claire Robertson Neeley. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; siblings, Nancy Jean Neeley Thompson of Jackson, Tennessee, Dan Neeley of Bartlett, Tennessee, and Mike Neeley of Collierville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
A memorial service for Pat will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at MEMPHIS FUNERAL HOME, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119, preceded by a catered reception & visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The family requests that memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
